Larry E. Roy has over 25 years experience in advertising and marketing, cutting his creative teeth at a very early age under the tutelage of his father, a pioneer in syndicated advertising. An award-winning writer/director/producer, Roy has developed a keen ability to craft provocative, memorable multimedia campaigns, and then skillfully guide them through their launch. A left AND right-brain thinker, he’s also developed a head for marketing, as well as creative production, which keeps clients coming back, some for more than two decades. Roy stresses that hearing the client first, and being invested in their success is of primary importance. Edward Voakes comes to Raven Marketing with an extremely diverse background. He taught music at the High School and Elementary School levels for more than twenty years in California and Washington State. Edward is also a professional musician in the Portland Metropolitan Area, having performed in the pit orchestra for several musical theater productions. He also performs currently with the 234th Army Band of the Oregon National Guard. As a result of his extensive musical and Army and training, Edward is extremely detail-oriented. He is a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet nerd and social media expert and keeps the administrative side of Raven Marketing running smoothly and efficiently for our customers.
Leah is the accountant behind Raven Marketing. She is a CPA with a background in public accounting auditing. She currently provides accounting, payroll and tax services to small businesses and not-for-profit organizations. Her past experience allows her to provide guidance on accounting standards and industry best practices. She strives to meet and anticipate client needs and provide personalized business services. Outside of work, Leah’s two daughters keep her busy with their many activities and she enjoys volunteering at their school.
Michelle Ruark comes to us with 20 years of experience in both Radio and Television. She started her career in radio in California working as a receptionist, but quickly moved up to the position of Business Manager. She continued in radio when she moved to Portland where she worked in all facets of accounting and then moved into Human Resources. She made the move to television over 10 years ago where she began working in the Sales Department. Michelle was responsible for keeping the department's work flow moving in the right direction. She has extensive experience in contracts, co-op and customer service.
Melissa York has been working to help local businesses grow and meet their goals for over 21 years. With a 13 year background in radio sales, promotional | event marketing and over 8 years in the OOH industry, Melissa brings a well rounded perspective to the table. Because each client is has their different challenges and goals, each marketing campaign Melissa is privileged to create, is unique. There is much to be said for the satisfaction of learning and realizing the challenges and opportunities a client faces. Then creating a campaign that will work for them, executing it and seeing the results come to life.
